Full moonPosted by Apostolia (Atlanta, United States) on 4 December 2006 in Plant & Nature and Portfolio. Finally something fresh! Now that I am not sick anymore I managed to get out and take a couple of shots... here's the full moon (from Dec 3rd). I'll post couple of follow ups on this. The world is such a beautiful place; capture it through your own eyes. Thank you for stopping by!

Chris Sullivan from Melbourne, AustraliaSo serene. I think the moon is a little over-exposed but it contrasts well with the trees in the foreground. Nice image! 4 Dec 2006 8:29am @Chris Sullivan: Thanks for taking a look! A question for you... how do I take care of over-exposure? I assume you mean it's too bright or something... Maybe reduce brightness? Reduce saturation? I can play with it a little... FotoDelic from Rio de Janeiro, BrazilSomewhere very far from your's picture someone was watching the same full moon and thinking about a photo that wasn't take! Nice shot. 4 Dec 2006 10:58am Paul Ricciardi from Lexington, United StatesGlad you're feeling well, thanks for the comment, good stuff here, serene as Chris said...the moon is very bright but I don't find it distracting. For me, it just serves to embody the relationship of the sun and the moon...the moon is beautiful but it is nothing without the sun, and the brightness of the moon makes me think of the sun from where it draws its light. Good job. 4 Dec 2006 3:51pm @Paul Ricciardi: Thank you for kind words, I appreciate it. I like your thoughts about sun/moon. Are you a poet/writer or something? Or just trying to figure out the meaning of life? :) Shuva from Hyderabad, IndiaVery interesting angle. I wonder if its a practice among the Greeks to go into such creepy places as this when you recover from illness. I would believe you if you said "I guessed it right". :-) 4 Dec 2006 5:02pm @Shuva: LOL!!! Actually believe it or not this was taken behind my house! I am lucky enough to live close to the city and still have some woods around me. However it is practice among Greeks to see things from different angles, do calculations, see if the moon and stars are aligned, etc. :) seventhray from United StatesCool shot! I like the angle through the trees. That makes for a nice effect! 4 Dec 2006 5:43pm Ben from New York City, United StatesO wow, great composition. I love the clouds and the silhouettes 5 Dec 2006 3:59am Ryan Yam from Quezon City, PhilippinesThis shot is really cool. my only suggestion is the placing of the moon in the shot :) I would have preferred if off center. 5 Dec 2006 5:54pm |
